Customize your Tile Size with StoneImpressions

Clermont Symmetric Mural in the Pewter Color on Carrara

Sometimes bigger IS better.  Take our ever popular Clermont Mural.  We show it in our catalog on 6" x 6" tiles, which makes the whole mural 18" x 30".  But like all of our tile designs, we can make this tile mural in any size that you desire.

And when we say ANY size, we really do mean it.

Roger is showing off a 4 foot x 8 foot Clermont Mural that we created for a customer in Texas.  What is it they say - "Everything is bigger in Texas."  In this case, we believe it!

So the lesson of the day is that as you are looking through our tile catalog or the tile collections shown on our website, don't forget that you can change the size of any of our tile designs to fit your space.  Contact your local tile shop for information about how to order StoneImpressions tile.

American Made Tiles

When we are telling folks about our tiles for the first time, we are often asked where they are made.  We are happy to answer that all of our tiles are manufactured in the United States of America.   The stone that we use is sourced from Italy, Mexico and the Balkans, however we purchase these raw materials from American suppliers.  Once the stone tiles arrive at our state-of-the-art facility in San Diego, California, our employees use our patented process to create the colorful, decorative tiles and murals that you see in our catalog and on our website.

We sell our tiles only through our network of authorized dealers located throughout North America. Many of these showrooms are small, local businesses who have strong roots in their own communities.  These stores are a part of your local economy. They employ your neighbors, contribute to the local tax rolls, and have a vested interest in your community.   Nobody likes to pay taxes, but wouldn't you rather have your money stay in your own backyard?  Especially in this economy, shopping locally supports your community in a very tangible way.

We are proud of the professionalism and knowledge of our dealers and so we are more than happy to refer you to one when you are looking to purchase our tiles.  You can find your local dealer by going to the Tile Showrooms page of our website.  You can also fill a form on our Request a Tile Quote page and we will have a local dealer contact you.

FAQ - Can I get samples of StoneImpressions tiles?

So you have been browsing our website, checking out our tile collections and so far you like what you see.  But you are a little unsure if you want to trust the website pictures.

What if is like that time you tried online dating?  And the photos in the profile of MrSoRight84 looked like this:

But when he showed up at your door, it was more like this:

We don't blame you for being a little wary of website photos.

If you find a tile design that you like and you would like to see more, the first step is to locate one of the authorized dealers near you.  Go to the Showrooms page of our website and choose your state to get started.

All of the stores listed on our website will have StoneImpressions tile displays in their showrooms.  These displays show a variety of styles and designs, with a selection of different sizes and all of our available stone types.  It is possible that the tile you want is shown in one of the display boards at the store near you.  So go on in and take a look and you could be pleasantly surprised.

Since our entire collection is quite extensive, you might not see the tile you are looking for in the store display.  The good news is that sample tiles are inexpensive and easy to order from your local StoneImpressions dealer. You can choose any of our designs, any tile size and any stone type and we make your sample just the way you want it.  We produce samples tiles right away and in most cases, you can have your sample piece in your hands in about a week.  Your local dealer can let you know how much it all costs.

Is it worth it?  It definitely is.  All of our sample tiles are the full-sized, real and true StoneImpressions tile and are made exactly the same way our regular tiles are made.  You are not getting a tiny swatch or measly chip that shows you a minuscule quarter inch of color and nothing more.  You get the full size tile with all of the color and the complete design.

Take it home with you and hold it up next to your cabinets or compare it to your countertop.  Contemplate its colors in the morning light and see how it looks in the evening shadows.  Take it for long walks on the beach, make dinner for it, or share a nice bottle of wine by the roaring fire - whatever you have to do to make the decision that this tile is The One.

No matter where you are installing the tiles, it is an investment that you will be enjoying  for years to come.  Get yourself a sample before making the decision and maybe...

Custom Tiles and our Fabulous Dealers

This week we held our first Custom & Design Program Webinar with some of our Authorized Dealers.  We presented all of the options available to create custom tiles and shared pictures of some of our custom tile projects.  Our Custom Program is actually not very complicated.  We can make changes to any of our designs or work with customer-supplied artwork to create a truly personalized tile.  We have a great deal of flexibility and options since we always start with a digital image.  See more information about our Custom Program here.

A Celtic pendant was used to create a custom tile from our Amaretti Dawn design.

We have been embracing technology recently and love how it can keep us connected.  Our webinar brought us together with people all the way from Merrimack, New Hampshire to Santa Barbara, California - and lots of places in between.  The dealers around the country who carry our product lines have proven to be a smart and committed bunch of people.  They are always looking for opportunities to improve their knowledge so that they can better serve their customers.  They always impress us.

This is why customers who contact us directly will be strongly encouraged (gently shoved?  politely pushed?) to go see one of our Authorized Dealers.  When you call us, our customer service team is always happy to answer your questions about any of our products.  But when it comes down to making a decision about purchase, it is to your advantage to work with a local, knowledgeable Authorized Dealer.  Here's why:

Dealers have full-size, in-store samples.  You can browse the beautiful pictures on our website, but there is nothing like seeing the tiles up close and personal.  Touch the natural stone tiles to feel the texture and weight of the stone. Look closely at the detail and colors in the artwork and the shading in the stone.  Taste and smell the tile if that's your thing. (Please bring your own antibacterial wipes.)  Seeing the full-size samples will give you a much better idea of what the StoneImpressions tiles will look like in your home.

Clermont also looks great as a kitchen backsplash.

Dealers are trained.  They can answer your questions and they might even have a few questions for you to help you determine the best way to approach your home improvement project.  They have experience working with StoneImpressions and will be able to make recommendations about other items that you might need - grout, cleaner, adhesive, or the phone number of a good tile installer.

Dealers are a part of your local economy.  They employ your neighbors, contribute to the local tax rolls and have a vested interest in your community.  Nobody likes to pay taxes, but wouldn't you rather have your money stay in your own backyard?  Especially in this economy, shopping locally supports your community in a very tangible way.

Dealers can assist you in other ways.  We do one thing - decorative natural stone products.  But our Dealers can help you with other aspects of your home improvement project.  Some have Certified Kitchen Designers on staff, like DJ Dietz Designs in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.  They can help you with your total kitchen remodel from planning and design, all the way to installation.  Other Dealers carry a wide variety of products including kitchen cabinets, sinks, appliances, marble countertops, bath and shower fixtures, and all types of flooring from carpeting to hardwood.

We are always happy to talk to you when you call.  But when you want that fabulous face-to-face customer service experience, you can find an Authorized StoneImpressions Dealer by going to the Showrooms page on our website.
