It is so true. Always look who is posting the advice. Kitchen cabinets will be in your home very a very long time and you do not want your opinion to be swayed by a company making a profit.

Keep in mind, the cabinets will be in your home for years to come. Trendy designs are nice but if you remember the avocado craze of the 70s, it can also be quite scary.

Wise consumers learned their lesson and found that sometimes going with a classic is best when it comes to long term items like cabinets. They learned the contemporary trends are best left to easily replaced accents.

Your client has great taste! They actually achieved that look by using 8x8 tiles and some dark colored liners.

We found out exactly what it all is:

Hi there! My client had seen this picture before and wants this exact backsplash. (Can you blame her, it's beautiful!) I can see that the Minore tile was used behind the range, but I was wondering if you know what was used in the field of the rest of the backsplash? Hi Paul,

Glad you like it! We have a patented process to print on natural stone. It is a little high tech and a little low tech. We start with digital images which gives us a great deal of flexibility in design. Then each one is hand printed onto the stone (that's the low tech part.)

Our process requires a porous surface, so that is why we use natural stone and not ceramic or porcelain. It is not dye sublimation or a heat transfer, so we are able to get really distinct details and a great depth and range of color.
